As you all know, Steve is no longer with us. Below 
is Steve's Obituary. I have also added some comments 
from his daughter Brittnee.


Brittnee says, "She wants everyone to now that 
Steve was the best dad in the world and he loved 
everyone." He was married to Cathy Dunavin 
for 17 years. Steve had 2 daughters, Bethanee (who 
is now 15, and Brittnee who is now 18.  Steve 
loved to take Brittnee and Bethanee fishing and sking.  
Brittnee said, "My dad could still tumble until the 
day he died and used his talent to teach me how,
so I could try out for cheerleading." Steve was 
always there for anyone who needed him. Brittnee said,
"Dad would drop everything he was doing (even if he 
was really busy) to come outside and play basketball 
with me and my sister."  Steve helped Cathy raise two 
kids who turned out great.  Brittnee said,"We loved 
him so much, and will miss him always."

We will miss Peaches (Steve)!

Cathy Dunavin wrote: "Brittnee (Dunavin) & Shad Weatherly 
had a little boy June 19, 2007.
He weighed 6 lbs. 7 oz. and was 19 1/2 inches long. 
The picture attached was taken about a week and a 
half ago. Just thought I send an update for Steve 
Dunavin's info on the Maverick's Alumni Website.
